This painting represents the importance and spiritual connection of our waterways. 

The Wagyl (rainbow serpent) rose from the earth to create all things. Shaping the waterways and the land. The Wagyl is sacred, we show respect, communicate our presence when we visit and do not disturb when the Wagyl is swimming around (when the water is dark or murky). 

Waterways provided a vital source and were integral to our culture. A meeting place to gather, fish, share knowledge and stories. Important land marks to follow and central to seasonal movements. For healing and renewal. Providing a deep sense of connection. ​​
