Fire-stick farming is about our local groups who were part of the Whadjug (Whadjuk) or Pipelman (Bibelman) tribe – who referred to themselves as Noongar (South - West group) The Noongars main impact on this country was caused by “fire-stick farming” whereby they set fire to the bush as an aid to hunting reptiles & mammals.​
